Securing A U.S. Work Visa With The Help Of An Experienced Immigration Lawyer

If you are a U.S. company wishing to hire a foreign national or if you are a foreign national with a job offer in the U.S., having the guidance of a skilled immigration lawyer can make all the difference. It can be extremely difficult choosing the appropriate type of work visa, filing a successful petition with the USCIS, and then applying for the visa at a U.S. Embassy or Consulate.

At my Burnsville office of Vicki Anderson Immigration Law, LLC, I understand firsthand the complexities and challenges that come with navigating the nonimmigrant work visa options. I am committed to offering you experienced legal guidance and providing a clear and strategic approach to your immigration needs.

What Sets Me Apart From Other Law Firms

I am devoted to providing my clients with the meticulous and comprehensive support they deserve when trying to get a work visa. I am here to help my clients achieve their professional goals. Specifically, you or your business may need:

  • TN visas under the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA), previously known as NAFTA, for eligible Canadian and Mexican citizens. The Canadian or Mexican must be coming to work in one of the professions listed in Appendix 2 to Annex 16-A of Chapter 16 of the USMCA. Self-employment is not permitted.
  • L-1A or L-1B intracompany transferee visas. An executive or a manger, who has been working outside the U.S. for at least one full year can be transferred to work at their company’s U.S. office through an L-1A visa. An employee with specialized knowledge can also be transferred through an L-1B visa.
  • H-1B visas for specialty occupations requiring at least a U.S. bachelor’s degree or the equivalent. The U.S. employer must pay the higher of either the actual wage or the prevailing wage for that particular occupation in the particular geographic location where the beneficiary will work.
  • O-1 visas for aliens with extraordinary ability in the sciences, arts, education, business, or athletics, or who have a demonstrated record of extraordinary achievement in the motion picture or television industry.

There are a number of other categories of temporary work visas, and I will guide you through the visa selection process that best aligns with the goals of your business or, if you are the beneficiary, your career goals. I will guide you throughout the petition and visa process and will ensure to keep you well-informed.
